![]() Something this does allow for is an incredibly eerie atmosphere, and the spooky soundtrack only helps bring this to life. Seeing enemies coming towards you is difficult to say the least, and without a decent surround sound system and a good ear you will often be surprised by giant praying mantis enemies trying to nibble on your oesophagus from behind. The environments are thick with Silent Hill-esque fog, but due to the darkness of the island – this makes it impossible to see what is even two feet in front of you. The control scheme is just the beginning of the game’s problems. A lot of the attacks and dodges use a similar waggling technique – making for difficult combat and an annoying evasion roll taking place every time you wish to hurl a projectile towards a flying enemy. Motion controls were still a relatively new concept and most of the launch line-up had unbearable waggle controls and failed to even utilise all of the buttons on the Wiimote and Nunchuk.
